Provided that UK Covid travel restrictions have been lifted by then, I am thrilled to have been appointed as wildlife speaker by Viking Ocean Cruises on four cruises, beginning and ending in Reykjavik, on four consecutive Saturdays starting on 26th June.
The 7-day cruises, entitled ICELAND'S NATURAL BEAUTY, begin with a full day in Reykjavik, then circumnavigate Iceland with visits to Isafjordur, Akureyri, Seydisfjordur, Djupivogur, and Heimaey on the Westman islands - all delightful ports that I know well. This is a great time of year for wildlife spotting, and the shore excursion programme includes many interesting wildlife trips. Sue will join me on at least the first two cruises.
Viking Sky will be running at 50% capacity to allow for social distancing, with regular Covid testing of crew and guests using a dedicated PCR testing lab onboard, and guest will be allowed ashore only on carefully monitored shore excursions. Because of current travel restrictions, bookings are only being accepted at present from the US, but I look forward to meeting some old friends from the States on these cruises.
